My grandpa was the oldest in his family. Like many survivors, the weight of his experience was a burden he carried in silence; he would never speak of his time there and would leave the room when the subject arose. This shirt is my way of honoring that silence by turning it into a voice for change.
Why the Teddy? The teddy bear represents the childhoods that were interrupted and the innocence we must protect today. It is designed to be an "ice breaker"—a way to start the difficult but necessary conversations that create safer spaces, foster true allyship, and reduce racism for everyone, everywhere.
